It started as an experiment.

And in many ways, it still is.

The Quiz Labs began in 2014 as a peer-review platform for young and budding quizmasters (a space to test questions, debate formats, and sharpen the craft of hosting). What began as a small experiment has grown into one of Goa’s most loved and well-known quizzing brands.

Over the past decade, we have hosted and supported 100+ quiz experiences across schools, colleges, corporate teams, communities, festivals, and trivia nights. From college fest stages and school auditoriums to office events and community gatherings, our work has always been rooted in one belief: a great quiz is not just about answers. It is about the experience around the question.

At The Quiz Labs, we are experienced, inquisitive quizmasters, hosts, researchers, and question-setters who curate quizzes for the room, the audience, and the occasion (balancing knowledge, surprise, humour, competition, and that classic "how did we not get that?" moment).

We also help build the next generation of quizmasters. Through feedback, collaboration, training, and real event exposure, we help young quizzers move from answering questions to asking better ones. In short, we turn quizzers into quizmasters.

Our journey has taken us from live events to behind-the-scenes work on some of India’s biggest quiz competitions and television quiz shows (contributing to the research, structure, and backend that make great quiz experiences possible).

Twelve years on, we are still experimenting with formats, themes, audiences, technology, and new ways to bring people together through questions.

Because for us, quizzing has never been just trivia.

It is curiosity, connection, and discovery (shared live).

What We Offer

School, College & Youth Festival Quizzes

For students, a quiz cannot feel like another classroom test. It has to feel like a stage, a challenge, and a shared memory.

We curate and host quizzes for schools, colleges, college fests, youth festivals, and socio-cultural groups where the energy of the audience matters as much as the questions on screen. From inter-school competitions to packed college auditoriums, we design quiz experiences that are accessible, exciting, and competitive.

Best for: Inter-school quizzes, college fests, youth festivals, student clubs, cultural groups, classroom competitions.

Corporate Quizzes

A good corporate quiz should not feel like mandatory fun. It should feel like the one session where everyone suddenly leans forward.

We create polished, engaging quiz experiences for corporate teams, offsites, retreats, annual gatherings, employee engagement events, and team-building sessions. The format can be light and social, sharp and competitive, or built around your company, people, and inside stories.

Best for: Team-building events, corporate offsites, retreats, employee engagement, festive celebrations, internal competitions.

Pub Quizzes & Trivia Nights

Some rooms are not looking for a formal competition. They are looking for a reason to gather, argue, laugh, guess wildly, and order another round.

Our pub quizzes and trivia nights are designed for pubs, cafés, clubs, communities, private gatherings, and open rooms. Expect music, movies, sport, pop culture, visual rounds, team banter, and questions that make a table say, "Wait, we know this."

Best for: Pubs, cafés, clubs, weekend events, community nights, birthdays, reunions, residential societies.

Online & Hybrid Quiz Experiences

Online events do not have to feel distant. With the right format, a Zoom room can feel just as alive as a packed hall.

We host live quizzes over Zoom, Teams, and other online platforms, with participants answering through digital systems or The Quiz Labs website. Questions are presented live, answers are submitted online, scores are tracked cleanly, and winners are announced at the end.

Best for: Zoom panel quizzes, online community quizzes, remote team engagement, alumni events, hybrid sessions, virtual competitions.

Quiz Curation & Backend Support

Not every great quiz happens in front of us. Some of our most important work happens before the lights come on.

We provide research, question curation, answer verification, format design, backend support, and content structuring for large-format competitions, institutional quizzes, game shows, television quiz shows, and custom quiz productions.

Best for: TV quiz shows, game shows, large competitions, institutional quiz properties, production houses, event agencies.

Why Choose The Quiz Labs?

A good quiz is not just a list of questions. It is timing, tension, surprise, fairness, energy, and the strange joy of watching an entire room argue over an answer they almost know.

That is where The Quiz Labs comes in.

Curated for Your Crowd

No generic question banks. No recycled "top 50 trivia questions." Every quiz is built around your audience, your occasion, and your theme.

  • A school quiz should not feel like a pub quiz.
  • A corporate offsite should not feel like an exam.
  • A youth festival quiz should carry the pulse of the people in the room.

We curate accordingly.

Hosted Like a Live Experience

Our quizmasters do more than read questions. They read the room.

They know when to speed up, when to pause, when to build suspense, when to explain, and when to let the audience enjoy the chaos. The result is a quiz that feels alive from the first question to the final reveal.

Challenging, But Never Alienating

The best quizzes make people feel smart, curious, and involved.

We design formats that are accessible enough for casual participants and clever enough for serious quizzers. Not everyone needs to know every answer. But everyone should feel like they had a way in.

Built for Moments

A great quiz leaves behind more than a score.

It creates the table debate, the last-second guess, the unexpected comeback, the wrong answer everyone remembers, and the "how did we miss that?" moment on the way home. We design for those moments.

Smooth from Brief to Scoreboard

You bring the occasion. We handle the quiz.

From understanding the audience and building the format to hosting, scoring, tie-breakers, and winner announcements, we keep the experience smooth and organized so you can enjoy the event without chasing the details.

Complete Quiz Experience

We can bring together audio-visual rounds, themed formats, digital answering, live scoreboards, tie-breakers, custom questions, and dramatic winner reveals depending on what your event needs.

Because with The Quiz Labs, you are not booking "some questions." You are booking the experience around them.

Formats We Have Built Around the Brief

Every quiz begins with a constraint.

The audience may not be regular quizzers. The theme may be specific. The occasion may carry history. The room may need energy, nostalgia, teamwork, risk, surprise, or all of it at once.

That is where The Quiz Labs enjoys experimenting. We do not simply pick a few rounds and run a quiz. We design formats around the occasion, audience, theme, and desired experience. Here are a few examples of how that thinking comes alive.

The G20 Brief

A regional office of a large national institution wanted a quiz for affiliated banking organizations during India’s G20 Presidency.

The challenge was clear: the quiz had to be G20-themed, but the audience was not necessarily a regular quizzing crowd. So the format had to be informative without becoming heavy.

We designed a preliminary round of 20 questions, where each answer was the name of a G20 member. This gave the round a hidden structure while keeping every question accessible and varied.

The Festival Memory Round

For the 25th edition of a major youth festival in Goa, the quiz needed to do more than test knowledge. It had to honour the journey of the festival itself.

We designed a final round built around the festival’s previous editions. Each question connected to one edition, its people, its cultural context, or the larger social and literary movement around it.

Before answering the main question, teams first had to unlock it by identifying where that particular edition of the travelling festival had been held. Only after naming the venue could they attempt the question.

Short Circuit

Each circuit had five questions. After each of the first four questions, teams received a clue. Those clues pointed towards the answer to the fifth question.

The twist? Teams did not have to wait for the fifth question. If they could connect the clues early, they could “short circuit” the round and answer before the circuit was complete.

The earlier they answered, the higher the reward, but also the greater the risk. It created exactly the kind of tension we love: instinct versus caution, and the thrill of seeing the answer before everyone else.

The Century Quiz

For our 100th quiz, we turned to cricket. Each round became an over. Each question became a ball. Teams could choose how aggressively they wanted to play.

They could play safe for regular points, go for a four with moderate risk, or go for a six with higher reward and higher danger.

If a team went for a six and got it wrong, they lost a wicket. In a team of two, losing a wicket meant one player had to sit out for the next few questions. It brought cricket strategy into quizzing: risk, partnerships, and pressure.

A to Z

In our A to Z format, every answer follows the alphabet. Question A has an answer beginning with A, question B with B, and so on.

The beauty is its clarity. The audience understands the game instantly, but the questions can still range from easy to deeply challenging.

We have also adapted this into vernacular formats, including versions using Devanagari letters for Konkani quizzes. It works beautifully for schools, cultural events, and language-themed quizzes.

Alphabet Soup

Alphabet Soup takes the alphabet format and makes it more playful. Instead of straightforward A-to-Z questions, the clues flow into each other.

One answer leads to the next clue, which leads to the next answer, creating a chain of connected information. A clue might begin with a capital city, move into its country, then into a neighboring country, or a person connected to it.

It feels less like answering isolated questions and more like navigating a maze. The fun lies in keeping track of the chain before the soup gets too thick.

The lab is open. What's the occasion?

Tell us who the room is, what you're celebrating, or how scattered your community is. We'll handle the questions. You handle showing up.
